Opened the mail today to some terrific news.
Salt Sugar Fat is being translated and published in Egypt, by the National Center for Translation in Cairo.
Based on my recent visit to Saudi Arabia to talk about the book to worried public health officials, the Arab world is hardly immune from the global march of American-style processed foods, and in fact seems to be deeply vulnerable to the accompanying public health troubles. So glad to be sharing my food industry secrets with Egyptians.
This makes for 18 translations of the book in sum, which is a powerful statement in its own right.
