A new member of the Salt Sugar Fat family
Love opening mail from my agent to find the cover of a new translation. My mom being Czech, this one is dear to my stomach. You might also notice the title is changed to Sugar Salt Fat. The publisher assures me this reorder sounds better in Czech, and since Salt Sugar Fat in the original English was created in that order for that very same reason, it just rolls off the tongue, I couldn't argue. The one thing I've had to insist on in other translations is not putting commas between them, because in my research and reporting for the book it became clear that Salt Sugar Fat, or #SaltSugFat as I tweet, is a thing onto itself in the world of hyper processed foods, the unholy trinity as I call it in my public talks, wholly apart that from the great salt, sugar and fat that we use in our own kitchens.
